It’s Labor Day weekend once again, and that means two things… the summer is over and the kickoff of the next NFL season is less than a week away. Since we’re all ready for some football, it is my pleasure to announce to you all that “Beat the House”, an exclusive football pick ’em pool that has been running at TheManRoom.com for the past few seasons, has been reborn and will make it’s triumphant return at the TMRzoo!
“Beat the House” is a unique site sports feature where you, the members, are given the opportunity to agree or disagree with the TMRzoo’s in-house football expert’s weekly NFL picks and predictions. If the collective membership can top the House’s pick set, then a DVD prize pack containing a handful of newly-released movies will be awarded to one lucky member. The competition will run throughout the entire 2008 NFL season. Each member’s total correct picks will be tracked over the course of the season and displayed on the site leaderboard. At the conclusion of the regular season, the member with the most correct picks, if better than the House, will be named the Grand Prize Winner and receive our Grand Prize pack which will be chock-full of the hottest DVDs and video games at the time of the regular season’s conclusion.
Along with the transition to the new site comes an exciting twist to the weekly activities. After members have made their weekly game selections, it is time to participate in the “Visionman Players of the Week”. Members guess who they think will be named the offensive and defensive players of the week. If both of those players are named as the NFL players of the week for that specific week, the member is awarded a Widow WGMI-1NG700 Intel Gaming PC, pictured above, from Widow PC.
