The sophomore week of the TMR Zoo Double Play and Nickent Grand Slam contest is closed and the stats are in. If you selected the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies or the Kansas City Royals to score the most runs, and the Houston Astros to allow the least, you turned a TMR Zoo Double Play. Unfortunately, no entrant was able to pull one off this week. Actually, not a single member picked the Astros to allow the least number of runs.
4% of members that entered the contest selected the Phillies to lead the league in runs scored, and only a single entrant selected the Royals. As mentioned above, nobody picked the Astros. With no one picking the exact teams correctly, the prize pack, which was the first and second week prizes combined, rolls over and is now joined with week 3’s. See below to see everything we currently have up for grabs. Voting is now open for the statistical week of 5/10/09 through 5/16/09.
To enter, all you need to do is pick two Major League Baseball teams. Using the drop down boxes on the entry page, pick the professional team you think will score the most runs in the upcoming week, then pick the team that will give up the least amount of runs. After you’ve selected your teams, guess the actual number of runs for each category in the fields provided.
To win the prize, you must correctly identify the two teams. The scores you entered will be used to break any ties in the Double Play. The prize for week 1 was the Kelsyus Original Canopy Chair. See the prizing page for more details. Since nobody guessed the two teams correctly in the first 2 weeks, it rolls over again into week 3… and combined with the Nickelback: Live at Sturgis DVD. The longer we go without a weekly winner, the bigger the prize pack becomes. The Week four prize is a Lifestyles Condoms prize pack, which includes Lifestyles SKYNS and Lifestyles Vibrating Rings. It could be combined with the chair, the G4 prize pack and the Nickelback DVD if no one has guesses the right teams THIS week. Once you enter the Double Play, you are automatically entered into the Nickent Golf Grand Slam. If you can correctly pick the two teams as mentioned above, AS WELL as the exact runs scored and allowed, you have hit the Nickent Golf Grand Slam and win a full set of Nickent Golf Clubs in a stand bag. The set includes a 4DX Evolver driver, a 4DX Fairway, 4DX CB Irons (includes 2 hybrids), two
