Durham, NC – September 14, 2009 – Durham’s premier special event, the World Beer Festival, returns on October 3rd to its original home, the historic Durham Athletic Park. Newly re-opened following its $5 million restoration, the DAP provides a spectacular canvas for the 14th World Beer Festival-Durham. With the Carolina blue skies setting off the brilliant green of the ball field and the white of festival tents, it is easy to understand why USAToday ranked the WBF as one of the top ten beer festivals in the country.

“It’s been a wonderful experience working with the city to help bring this dream of a beautiful, historic ballpark to completion,” says Daniel Bradford, publisher and president of All About Beer Magazine, producer of the World Beer Festival. “We even put our shoulder to the wheel in raising money for the new seats.”

For one day, the festival team will turn the renovated park into the best place to experience fully the world of craft and specialty beer. Few sites on the East Coast can provide such an opportunity for anyone interested in the diversity and beauty of beer.
