It was a week that should have been for The House, but in this age where NFL is an extremely poor product, the right picks weren’t necessarily correct in week 11. The House losses this week, which mostly included underdogs, all were by a field goal or less. Nevertheless, the House fell to the Members 13 wins to 10. The Madden 10 sim ties The House with 10 correct picks out of 16. The week brought the season total to 8 wins for the Members to 3 for the House… with 6 more weeks to go. There were five games disagreed upon in wee 11. Yes, that’s right, five… the Thursday night game was disagreed with in voting at the time of kickoff. If not, it could have been an even more disastrous week for The House.
It really was a week of bullshit. 3, 2 and 1. Those were the differences in scores of three of the four games The House was wrong on this week. Indianapolis’ 17-15 win, Jacksonville’s 18-15 win and Detroit’s ridiculous 38-37 farce did the The House in… probably for the season.
We have a winner for the week, and The House is very reluctant to award it. We had four 14-game winners this week, but only one can win the DVDs and football. With 105 correct picks on the season smackstein is our week 11 champion. Good job.
The second part of our competition, the Nickent Players of the Week, will be decided on Wednesday when the NFL announces the top performers for week 11. The prize is a full set of golf clubs and we actually had a winner in week 1. The odds are on your side, so go for it!
