It was a bad week all-around for picks. When it is late in the season and the schedule is back to 16 games, 9 and 10 wins just don’t cut it. That’s all we had in week 13 as the mighty members bested the House to the tune of 10 correct picks to 9. The Madden 10 sim tied the membership with 10 correct picks. A few favorites fell, not making for an easy pick set, and one of the bigger favorites almost fell for the first time. Only one game was disagreed with in week 13. The House thinks the Colts will get their first loss any week now so it picked against them for the second time in as many weeks. The House liked the Titans… and lost.
The Bills over the Jets pick and the Giants over the Cowboys were close in voting, but still ended up being agreed with overall by the membership.
We had five 12-game winners this week, but only one can win the DVDs and football. With 138 correct picks on the season Waruikaze is our week 13 champion. Good job.
The second part of our competition, the Nickent Players of the Week, will be decided on Wednesday when the NFL announces the top performers for week 13. The prize is a full set of golf clubs and we actually had a winner in week 1. The odds are on your side, so go for it!
The rules for voting are going to change this week. We are going to keep voting open from Wednesday until kickoff Sunday as usual, but you you enter picks after kickoff Thursday, you aren’t getting credit for that first game like in past weeks. Get your picks in!
