After months of speculation and debate from the sports media bobbleheads about where and when the NFL career of a Mr. Tim Tebow was going to start, the question was finally answered by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell…
With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, The Denver Broncos select: Tim Tebow, Quarterback, University of Florida.
We had been posting mock drafts for you over the course of the past month and a half to help you out in our Tim Tebow contest and most of them listed a team like the Buffalo Bills or the Jacksonville Jaguars as the likely landing spot for Tebow and probably in the early second round. It wasn’t until last week that some local Denver reporters had suggested that the Broncos would use their first round pick on Tebow.
It is not THAT shocking that Tebow was selected in the first round… the fact that he was the second QB picked overall is the kicker. Everyone had Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen as the #1 and #2 quarterbacks on their mock draft boards. Now, Jimmy Clausen is still waiting to be picked and Tim Tebow is wearing a Denver Broncos hat.
Now comes the moment you have all been waiting for… the announcement of the winner of the TMR Zoo Tim Tebow Contest. Only 25 contestants guessed that Tim Tebow would be selected by the Denver Broncos, and out of those, only 10 entered the first round as their guess. Per the rules, the winner is selected at random from those entries and that winner is… QUYBOB.
I’m not sure what a QUYBOB is, but he or she now has a nice little prize pack for winning the Tim Tebow contest. Since you could submit an entry each day, there were many strategies contestants could have used to try to win the contest. QUYBOB employed the strategy of mixing up entries and submitting different teams and rounds each day instead of putting all of the eggs in one team’s basket. It appears to have worked.
That’s a wrap for the Tim Tebow contest. Please stay tuned for our newest contest launching soon… The Top Ten Draft Pick Hold out Contest, where you can nake daily guesses as to which top 10 pick will take the longest to sign with the team that selected him. The contest entry form will be at www.tmrzoo.com/sports/holdout.php once it is live, so please bookmark it and check back and enter daily.
