Week 6 NFL Players of the Week: Kevin Kolb, Chris Long, Matt Schaub, Lawrence Timmons

The NFL has named it’s AFC and NFC offensive and defensive players of the week for week 6 of the 2010 football season. Kevin Kolb, Quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles and Chris Long, defensive end for the St. Louis Rams have earned the NFC honors. In the AFC, it was Houston Texans’ quarterback Matt Schaub and Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

The goal of our “Jagermeister Players of the Week” contest is to correctly match up one of the offensive players of the week with one of their defensive counterparts. Just by looking at the four names, you can accurately guess that not soul guessed either of the NFC winners this week. A few entrants correctly guessed Timmons, but not a soul picked Matt Schaub.

Since nobody matched an accurate pair of players, we’ll have to wait another week to award the Jagermeister 6-Bottle Shot cooler. The good news is that voting is already open so you can enter this week’s “Beat the House” and Jagermeister Player of the Week contests RIGHT NOW. For those of you unfamiliar with our contest, it is twofold. First, you agree or disagree with our “House” picks for week 7. Then you enter your guesses for two players who you think will be named by the NFL as players of the week. The two contests are entered at the same time, but run independently, so you can win one or both in any given week. Click the link above to enter and get the official rules and details. You can win a DVD prize pack and/or a Jagermeister 6-bottle shot cooler. Good Luck and enjoy week 6!
