Rattle N Hum Bar & Kitchen, NYC’s foremost craft beer and food destination (14 East 33rd Street; 212-481-1586), announced today that it has been “tapped” as the East Coast venue for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s 30th Anniversary celebration. It was back in November 1980 that the first-ever batch of beer made it through the Sierra Nevada brewhouse, ushering-in a new era of interesting, hand-crafted and flavorful beer. Some of the founding Sierra Nevada pioneers and other members of the Sierra Nevada family will be making the eastward trek to Rattle N Hum for this historic occasion.
The festivities kick-off at Rattle N Hum on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 4 p.m. and include a total tap takeover with 40 Sierra Nevada beers on tap, as well as 4 rare casks and numerous special bottled offerings. In addition to favorites like the Pale Ale, Torpedo and Celebration Ale, Sierra Nevada is bringing out many beers that have never have been, and never again will be, poured on the East Coast. These exceedingly rare beers include Hellraiser—a Chocolate Chili Imperial Stout, Barrel-Aged Life & Limb — a collaboration beer with Dogfish Head Brewery, Hopsichord, Almond Marzen Project and four of the special one-off 30th Anniversary Beers. Check out the full list of beers that will be poured at the event here.
Certain of the beers are available only in limited quantities, so guests are urged to arrive early to ensure they get to taste the ones they are most looking forward to.
Commenting on the special celebration, Rattle N Hum’s Owner Patrick Donagher stated, “For countless craft beer lovers, Sierra Nevada has served as the gateway beer for their foray into the American craft beer renaissance. Sierra Nevada’s beers are just as relevant today as they were 30 years ago. We at Rattle N Hum are proud to be hosting the East Coast celebration of this momentous occasion for the Sierra Nevada family.”
Rattle N Hum Bar & Kitchen is located at East 33rd Street between Madison Avenue and 5th Avenue.
