Just like in politics, critics are starting to gravitate towards the opposite sides of the room and take some hard stances on Tim Tebow. Some harsh criticisms have been trickling out, by current NFL players, analysts and even former teammates of Tebow. It seems like the media members that don’t like Tim, REALLY don’t like him, but the supporters and those who think he is truly an NFL quarterback still aren’t calling him a first day pick.

Former teammate and current Florida Gator Deonte Thompson appears to be happy that the Tim Tebow era is over in Gainesville and i very much looking forward to catching passes from John Brantley. According to a Yahoo! Sports article, Thompson wasn’t too thrilled about the unpredictability of Tebow… one of the main contributors to Tim’s success. According to Thompson: “You can bolt, you think he’s running but he’ll come up and pass it to you. You just have to be ready at all times. With Brantley, everything’s with rhythm, time. You know what I mean, a real quarterback.”
Another strike came from Miami Dolphins backup QB Chad Henne when he said, “My judgment is that he’s not an NFL quarterback”, “I’ll leave it at that.” Since those comments were made, Henne has backtracked a little, but it was speculated that Henne could be a bit nervous that the very quarterback he is criticizing could be replacing him in a few months. Only time will tell.
A quick Google search will also give you a plethora of various opinions explaining why Tim Tebow should decline his invite to the NFL draft and save himself a Brady Quinn-esque embarrassment.
