Call of Juarez: In The Next Release The Cartel Hits Modern L.A.

Call of Juarez will be coming back in modern-day Los Angeles as Call of Juarez: The Cartel will be bringing the Old West to LA, thanks to UbiSoft.

According to Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft:

“Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an action-packed shooter game with a strong story, interesting characters and a wide variety of gameplay options. The game will bring the best elements of the Wild West into modern times with a very gritty and relevant plot… Players can expect to embark on a journey like no other – one that will take them from the heart of modern day Los Angeles, California to Juarez, Mexico.”

One can assume that with the locations of L.A. and Mexico, a subtitle “The Cartel”, and an Old West sense of justice and gunplay, it’s safe to think that the plot will revolve around the drug trade. Who knows, though – maybe there will be some good old-fashioned treasure hunting, too.

The game is being released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and no release date has been announced. Let us know if you’re interested in Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
