2011 NFL Draft: Cam Newton Contest Mock Draft and Wonderlic Test Updates

The TMR Zoo Cam Newton Draft contest was launched only a few days ago and there has been a flurry of entries already. Entrants have guessed everything from Cam Newton being drafted with the first pick overall to being completely undrafted in the 2011 NFL draft. We promised to deliver you links to what all of the “experts” have to say about Cam Newton’s “stock”, an here is the first edition…

First off, the results of Cam Newton’s Wonderlic test score has been made public, and it was a pretty lackluster result. Cam scored a 21 on the test, which is used to measure a player’s intelligence. It has been said that you need score at least a 20 on the test to be an affective quarterback in the NFL. (Ut oh!) But do not despair… NFL legends such as Dan Marino and Jim Kelly stunk up the test as well with matching 15’s.

Here are a few “educated” guesses as to where the experts think Cam will, or won’t, be drafted:

First Round by Buffalo Bills (3rd overall) – Darin Gantt – Charlotte Observer

NOT picked in first round, but 2 other QBs are – Jesse Bartolis – NFL Mocks

First Round by Carolina Panthers (1st overall) – John Tocabens – The Statesman

First Round by Tennessee Titans (8th overall) – Jason Garrison – Cincy Jungle

Take these various tidbits of helpful or useless info and cast your next vote in the Cam Newton Contest. Remember, you can enter once a day, every day, up until the start of the 2011 NFL Draft on Thursday evening April 28th. You can win a prize pack consisting of 7 Academy Award-winning movies for our DVD/Blu-ray collection if you simply guess the round Cam Newton is picked in and the team that drafts him.
