The first full week of voting in the TMR-exclusive Double Play and Grand Slam contests is complete and now all you can do is wait for this week to play out so we can see the results… or you could enter your week 4 predictions.
The most popular guesses in the first week of voting, for both offense and pitching, was the Philadelphia Phillies. It is understandable why they are so popular for least runs allowed with that insane starting rotation, but their offense has been dreadful. So far, in the first three games of this week, they’ve scored 3, 3 and 0 runs. To add insult to injury they’ve already given up 17 runs in those three days. The team with the lowest number of runs scored on them will most likely be lower than 17. Better luck next week, guys.
Entering the Double Play couldn’t be easier. Essentially, all you need to do is pick two Major League Baseball teams. Using the drop down boxes on the entry page, pick the professional team you think will score the most runs in the upcoming week, then pick the team that will give up the least amount of runs. After you’ve selected your teams, guess the actual number of runs for each category in the fields provided. Each week we will update you on the top scoring teams in the league as well as the teams that allow the least amount of runs.
To win the current prize, you must correctly identify the two teams. The scores you entered will be used to break any ties in the Double Play. The prize for week 1 is the Tron combo set featuring both Tron: Legacy and Tron: Classic in 3D/Blu-ray/DVD and digital formats! See the prizing page for more details.
If nobody can guess the two teams correctly, then no one wins the prize and it rolls over into the following week… and combined with another prize. The longer we go without a weekly winner, the bigger the prize pack becomes.
