Double Fine Studios’ wacky, offbeat mech tower-defense shooter Trenched has been dated for release on Xbox Live Arcade. The game will be available on Marketplace on June 22 for 1200 MSP.
In Trenched, the players joins the Mobile Trench Brigade to protect humanity from the evil Monovision menace. The invasion is repulsed using a combination of mobile firepower and stationary defenses to turn the tide of war in their favor. Players can customize their trench with thousands of possible loadouts, while marching side by side with allies from around the world, fighting through Europe, Africa, and the Pacific.
The game is infused with Tim Schafer’s uniquely nutty vision, as seen in the official trailer above.
