Can you fend off heart problems just by popping a vitamin? Sounds too good to be true. But it isn’t. In a recent study, people who were D deficient had stiffer arteries and the cells that lined their arteries showed greater signs of dysfunction. But everything got better quickly — and their blood pressure improved, too! — once they got their D levels back to normal.
