Amy Winehouse’s Drug Fueled Life Comes to a Tragic End

There is sad news in the music industry today, R&B singer Amy Winehouse is dead at the age of 27 Amy Winehouse will share the legacy of the other members of the 27 Club. The 27 Club includes Stones founder Brian Jones, guitar god Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and godfather of grunge Kurt Cobain. All of these great talents like Winehouse passed at the tender age of 27.

Amy Winehouse saw international success with her hit rehab. Rehab was an anthem to partying – a life style the starlet heavily subscribe to. She was hospitalized in 2007 for what was reported as an overdose of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and alcohol. No cause of death has been announced yet though drugs would be the obvious call.

From AP: Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene.

Amy Winehouese did seek treatment in May of this year but left the Priory Clinic after only a week. It seems she was not able to escape the powerful grip of drugs. News outlets seem to be cautious of labeling this a drug death thus far…but we are all thinking the same thing.
