Believe it or not, a quarter of the 2011 NFL regular season has come and gone already. More unbelievable is the fact that our expert prognosticator, the “House” in our “Beat the House” contest, is 0 for 4 to start a season for the first time… ever. Our boy Cletus is in his sophomore year as the TMR expert and the Vegas odds of him returning for his junior year have dropped to 20 to 1.

There is still plenty of football left to pick, but a 4-week, 10 pick deficit is pretty hard to overcome. Week 4 was the worst yet for the House as four picks were in the balance and all four did not end up the way the House predicted. We still don’t know how the Giants pulled their game off, but in the record books it is still a loss.
Since the House was beaten, the member with the best pick set will receive a movie prize pack and a care package from AXE Hair. This week it looks like member sender picked all 16 games correctly. Good job! That is no small feat. If you did the before the recession we’d have a super awesome prize for you… but since PR budgets are still low you’ll have to settle for a greasy hanshake from Cletus.
