According to TMZ.com Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson was allegedly wasted the night of his recent arrest. It seems the Minnesota Vikings only offensive threat was getting offensive with the local PD.
from TMR.com: Adrian Peterson was heavily intoxicated at the time of his arrest, which was very out of character for the NFL star … this according to the club where he was busted early this morning.
Daniel Maher, general manager of Live at Bayou Place, tells TMZ that Peterson has been to the club before, but he has never known him to drink much. Last night, however, Maher said Peterson was very drunk and was a difficult customer all night.

from ProFootballtalk.com : The Houston Police Department says Vikings running back Adrian Peterson pushed an off-duty officer before he was arrested for resisting arrest at a downtown bar early this morning.
Department spokesman Kese Smith told theHouston Chronicle that Peterson got into an argument with the officer, who was working an extra job at the bar.
“The officer informed Peterson and the group that the bar was closed and asked them to walk toward the nearest exit,” Smith said.
When the officer repeated his request, “That’s when Peterson told the officer that the group had heard him the first time and pushed the officer in the shoulder, causing him to stumble,” Smith said.
I don’t think AP will be going to jail for making an off-duty cop “stumble”, still in the Roger Goodell administration this could mean Adrian Peterson could sit for a couple of games. What makes this funny is this will only give Adrian Peterson a couple of more weeks to rehab his injured knee and he could come out even harder….faster.
I don’t know all the facts but I am calling this utter stupidity from all sides; Adrian Peterson, the Club, The Cops and very soon Roger Goodell . All I can do at this point is watch the further dysfunction of the Minnesota Vikings and rock out to this classic Def Leppard video. That is after the laughter of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions fans’ laughter subsides.
