NFL Week 3 Deadly-Accurate Free Expert Picks and Predictions & Week 2 Wrap-up

Week 2 of the 2012 NFL season came and went, but not without a few surprises. Not to anyone’s surprise is that most of the league is now 1-1 after two games. The shocking part is the hand full of “top tier” teams that should be 2-0 and are not.

Despite a few upsets, we still had some pretty damn good pick sets in our “Beat the House” Contest. This week’s sole winner is addvanz24 with 14 correct picks. After that there were only a few more entrants with 13 correct picks. Since the House only posted 8 correct picks again, well under the member average, it was beaten and addvanz24 will get a movie prize pack along with a Jagermeister T-shirt. addvanz24 also is tied for the most correct picks overall as well as the best win percentage… which allows them to control their own destiny on the way to making the Beat the House playoffs and a change to take home the Kegerator from GreatGiftsForMen.com.

Now on to week 3.

“The House” has made its week three picks and they can be viewed on our week 3 results page. After you check them out, make your own picks, or at least the Thursday night pick because that game will lock when the game kicks off. All other games will lock at 1:00pm EST on Sunday.

It looks like the biggest contest between 1-1 teams in week 3 is the New England Patriots visiting Baltimore to play the Ravens. One of them will be 1-2 and behind the 8-ball after their Sunday night prime-time match-up. Both are in divisions where a 1-2 start could doom them to a wildcard or worse.

As for our Beat the House contest, there is one rule change that will mix things up and keep entrants interested for a longer period of time this year. This season, having the most correct picks doesn’t guarantee you the grand prize. We have instituted a playoff-style runoff at the end of the season that will include 16 winning entrants. The top 10 players with the most correct picks automatically make the playoffs, and there will be 6 additional “wild card” playoff spots. Two of those spots will go to the contestants who have earned the Beat the House Facebook Page the most likes. See the Beat the House official rules page for all of the details and specific rule changes.

Don’t worry if you’ve missed out on the first two weeks, you still have 15 more to go with plenty of weekly and random prizes to win as well as a wild card playoff berth.

Good luck and enjoy our week 3 expert picks and predictions and the 2012 edition of NFL Football and Beat the House!
