Free Expert Week 4 NFL Picks and Predictions Contest Update

It appears that at least one of our free expert picks and predictions for week 4 the 2012 NFL season was deadly accurate. Last night on Thursday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns, but it was not a cakewalk. The Ravens had the fight to keep the lead up until the final seconds.

The highlight of the game had to be the return of the regular NFL officials. For the first time in NFL history, the referees were cheered as they came onto the field. The fans stayed nice too… for an entire two and a half quarters. Then the Baltimore crowd booed the hell out of them for a (correct) helmet-to-helmet penalty called against the Ravens.

I hope you enjoyed the honeymoon, regular refs.

With the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers on the bye this week, that leaves 13 more games to go. A few of them are pretty close to 50/50 in voting…

The closest are the Green Bay Packers hosting the winless New Orleans Saints and the Monday Night football contest between the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys in Big D.

I don’t know why the Packers/Saints game is so close. It must be due to people thinking that the Saints cannot possibly go 0-4 to start the season. Well, think again, it probably will happen. Do not think that just because the regular NFL officials are back that the Packers are giddy with joy and forget what happened last Monday night. Plus, the game is in Green Bay and I can’t ever remember the Saints winning an important game on the road.

Monday night, however, is really a toss up. Right now, the Cowboys are getting the standard -3 point spread just for being the home team, so Vegas has it even as well. Both teams are sitting at 2-1 and at a tie for the division lead. Take out your best coin and flip it to decide this winner.
