Week 6 Thursday Night Football sees us with yet another must win situation for two teams. The Pittsburgh Steelers clawed their way back to .500 with a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 5. If the Steelers have any hope of taking their division or even staying in the wild card hunt this is a must win for Mike Tomlin and crew.
Luckily, for Tomlin and crew this Thursday Night Football game tonight on the NFL Network brings them to Music City, Nashville Tennessee. To say the Tennessee Titans are struggling is an understatement; still could this be a trap game for the Steelers? Titans’ running back Chris Johnson gets the advantage over a wounded and depleted Steelers defense.
If Chris Johnson can establish a running game it may give Matt Hasselbeck the time he needs to spread the ball around a sans Troy Polamalu secondary. Kenny Britt, Kendall Wright and tight end Craig Stevens are all sure to have opportunities to make big plays on Thursday Night, it remains seen if they will cash in or check out.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers to avoid sliding back to a losing record the formula is simple, score early and score often. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 2-7 against the Titians since the franchise moved from Houston. The good news for the Steelers is Roethlisberger is 3-1 versus Tennessee. You can watch the Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans Thursday Night Football week 6 match-up on the NFL Network or NFL.com at 8:30 PM EST.
