We started the first wild card day off tough going 0-2 and losing 4.2 units, but we bounced back and into the positive going 3-0 the next day and gaining 11.1 units. That brings our playoff total to 3-1 and + 6.9 units. Today we have one game that appears to be very good, and another that could quite possibly end up being a blowout. Let’s begin.
Baltimore @ Denver -9: What is more impressive then the Broncos 11-game winning streak ? How about the fact that none of the games have been less then 7 point victories. Their defense is ranked 3rd in both yards on the ground and through the air. Peyton Manning has made the Broncos receivers remember what it is like to catch passes. Moreno has done an outstanding job filling in for Mcgahee. I think he is actually better. I think Denver may be the most well rounded team left. Baltimore limps into the playoffs and beats up the underdog Colts. So they may have a little momentum going for them, but I think it would take a collapse on both sides of the field today for the Broncos to lose. Even if Manning plays bad in the cold weather, I do not see Flacco and company doing any better. I am going to buy a few points though… Denver -6.5 -160 (3 Units)
Green Bay @ San Fran -3: Dear Colin Kaepernick, do not look now, but the buzzards are swarming. People do not like QB’s who come out of nowhere, and they darn sure do like them to be successful. Remember when you lost to Seattle and the world was calling you a mistake, I know Alex Smith got blown out by a weaker Giants defense, but he beat the Packers in Week 1, so now in order to keep your name in the positive light this offseason, you must go out and beat the suddenly up beat Green Bay Packers. That being said… this game is going to be tough too call. Obviously it will come down to mistakes. I actually think points will get scored this game. I think San Fran will move the ball and it will force Green Bay to take some shots. Over 45 -110 (3 units)
Good luck and we will see how things play out.
