I would like to begin by saying I can not imagine a more profitable game for the sportsbooks then the game between the Falcons and the Seahawks. There were two plays, Falcons -3 or Seahawks ML, they both lost. Seahawks almost blow a 20 point lead and have to a kick a game winning FG in the final seconds of the game. Tough break for almost everybody on a fun game to watch.
The Patriots were another team who built us up just to let us down. We needed 13.5 and they won by 13. Backdoor covers are a killer. That being said, it is time to get serious here as we only have four NFL games remaining, and one of them is the pro-bowl. Last weeks heart breakers leave us at 4-5 and +.1 unit. Let’s see how we do this week.
San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) @ Atlanta Falcons: I was very excited when I heard Kaepernick was going to get the start earlier in the season and I feel that the 49ers made the right choice by keeping him as the starter. There were some rough moments, but he has shown the ability to be a very good pocket QB and a running QB. It is almost as if he was two racial sterotypes merged into one…. The Atlanta Falcons appeared to be costing last week until the Seahawks woke up and came back to take the lead. A last second FG saved them from an even tighter “Choker” collar. This week I think the 49ers will be the more physical team. I think they are going to run the ball well and going to stop Atlanta’s rush game and put pressure on Matt Ryan to deliver the win. I think the 49ers punch their ticket to the SuperBowl, but it might be a a last second FG. 49ers -2.5 -165 (3 units)
Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots (-8) : Is this the game where the weak and old Ravens team that we have all been talking about, finally shows up ? For the first time, I finally do not think so. Joe Flacco is throwing the ball out of his mind. The defense is giving up points, but thy are making plays when it counts. They have a legit shot to win the whole thing, but first, Tom Brady and the Patriots offense is waiting for them. The Patriots seemingly put up points at will. They have so many weapons all over the field that it is hard to stop them all at once. The Ravens shall merely hope to contain them. I think this is going to be a fun game to watch. I think Ravens hang tough and points are scored. I am gonna go with a 7 Pt Teaser. Ravens +16, Ravens/Pats o44 -120 (3 Units)
It may be a bit earlier, but I think the 49ers are my pick to win the Superbowl vs either AFC team, but I would take either AFC team to beat the Falcons if the Falcons advance. We shall see!
