Over the past few days, four players from the first round in the 2013 NFL Draft have signed contracts with the teams that selected them. Dion Jordan (DE – Miami Dolphins), Lane Johnson (OT – Philadelphia Eagles), Barkevious Mingo (DE – Cleveland Browns) and Matt Elam (FS – Baltimore Ravens) are now all locked in and ready to officially start their NFL careers.
As we predicted, the signings are coming at a furious pace now that training camps are starting up for most teams. It also means that our First Picked/Last Signed Contest is wrapping up as well. In that contest you get the chance to guess who the last holdout will be for a great prize.
Jordan, Johnson and Mingo were selected in the top six overall, while Matt Elam was the very last player selected in the first round… a spot where the pundits were predicting the Baltimore Ravens might select Notre Dame linebacker Mantei Te’o.
