NFL Week 8, 2013 Picks, Predictions and Stone Cold Locks – Against the Spread, Totals and Money Line

Week 7 taught us many things. The Bears offense almost looked better without Cutler, but the bears defense is either very shaky, or the Redskins offense is finally clicking. Either way, Redskins pull out the game. Thank God the Bucs are still horrible and the Falcons win was never in doubt, as well as the 49ers-Titans game went just like we planned. 2-1 on the day, gaining +4.66 units, bringing our new total to 10-12 and -3.29 units. Riots Rundown took a stumble and went 6-5, bringing our new total to 50-26. Now lets look at week 8!

Green bay -360, Seattle -600, San Fran -1150: There are always a few games where you feel very solid about winning. You never want to swallow the entire price, so you can combine all the best in an “Every team must win” Parlay. Today I don’t see the Jags having any answers vs the 49ers, Green Bay has looked shaky at times, but the Vikings are in dismay. Not even that special kind of dismay where they can upset their division rival at home.  If the Rams still had Bradford, I would take the home-dog on national TV, but their QB situation is so bad they are calling Brett Favre, they are going to have a tough time vs Seattle. The rule of thumb is only make 2-team parlays, but I live dangerously, lets try 3 teams and see if it comes back to bite us.   Parlay -161 to win 6 units.

Buffalo @ New Orleans -10.5: One could look at the Saints rushing defense vs the Bills Rushing offense and see an area where Buffalo is going to have success, but when you get down by 2 scores to Drew Brees, you are not going to be able to run your way back into the game. The Bills will have to call upon their horrid passing game lead by…. I think Thad Lewis? Anyways, the passing game is in question. If the Saints get a big lead, they ain’t losing it. Saints -9.5 -130 to win 3 units

NYG @ Philadelphia +5.5:  The oh so dysfunctional Giants face the Eagles. The same Eagles team that beat them in their house by 14 points. Now the Giants who have but 1 win on the season will try and get their revenge in Philly. The Eagles have the best rushing offense in the NFL even after the debacle vs Dallas last week.  With Vick back, the Eagles will look to continue their dominance on the ground. Their one weakness is their passing defense. I think the Giants can have some success in the air, and then let’s see if Vick can make it through the entire game. I think this is a very winnable game for the Giants. Let’s go full Monty. Giants +185 3 Units

Riots Rundown 50 -26  Bold teams to win:

Cowboys @ Lions
Browns @ Chiefs
Dolphins @ Patriots
Jets @ Bengals
Steelers @ Raiders
Redskins @ Broncos
Falcons @ Cardinals
