Week 10 was a crazy week. We saw the Jags get their first win, the Giants crawl out of their shallow grave, Aaron Rodgers is indeed the only reason the Packers are relevant, and…. Dolphins fans probably hate both Martin and Incognito equally right now. That being said, we went 1-2 and lost 2.6 units, bringing our total to 17-14 and +16.76 units. Riot’s Rundown turned into Riot’s Beat-down as we went 4-6 and brought that total to 65-36.
A lot of big games today. Let’s take a look.
Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles -4.5: Here we have a match up of the 2nd and 3rd ranked rushing offenses, as well as the 9th and 10th ranked passing offense. Those numbers can be misleading though, as the the Eagles offense is a different team with Foles in there. This game is HUGE for both teams. The Eagles are trying to take sole possession of 1st pace, and the Redskins are trying to stay alive. Washington has games vs the 49ers, Chiefs, and even a trip to Atlanta that could be tough. They need this game. The Eagles have 4 of their remaining 6 games at home. Sucks for them cause they haven’t won at home in quite some time. I do not think it happens today. Redskins win and this NFC East gets even more interesting. Washington Redskins +185 3 units
San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints -3: The 49ers had won 5 in a row vs easier teams before running into a wall known as the Panthers defense. Now they get to go to New Orleans, where the Saints just dismantled the Dallas Cowboys last week. This game is huge to both teams. The Saints are going to have to fight it out for the divison lead with the Panthers later on this season, a loss today could remove any wiggle room they had. The 49ers could be in a position to fight for their playoff lives with the Packers (Assuming Carolina can finish strong and keep that top Wildcard spot.) This game will comedown to the running game. The Saints ran well vs the Cowboys (but who doesn’t?) However, this will be the toughest passing game San Fran has faced. Bree’s keeps the 49ers out of the box and opens up the running game. Saints win at home. Saints -3 0 -120 2 units
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos -7.5: No respect, ya hear me ? The Chiefs get no respect. The Chiefs met the surgeon general. He offered them cigarettes. No respect, 7.5 underdog. Ya hear me? The NFL asked Alex Smith to be the new poster boy… for birth control. No respect. No respect.I ran into Andy Reid her in Denver at a bar last night, The bartender asked him, “What’ll you have?” Reid said, “Surprise me.” He showed me a naked picture of Reid’s wife. Man these Chiefs get no respect!
Guess what ? They haven’t earned any. Name one good team the Chiefs have beat ? The Broncos have a similar schedule, but they have beat teams more convincingly and I trust their offense to put points up. Also, the Broncos rush defense is going to make things tough for the Chiefs. How will Alex Smith respond when he is asked to stand in their and win a shootout? Not very well. I like the Broncos, but 7.5 leaves room for too many backdoor covers. Denver -6.5 – 130 3 units
