Week 15 of the 2013 NFL season only saw one playoff clinching performance. There were three others going into the week. It was the Kansas City Chiefs that locked up a playoff spot while destroying the Oakland Raiders. The AFC North is still up for grabs though as both the Chiefs and Denver Broncos have matching 11-3 records. Four more teams can clinch simply by winning their games this week with no other help (New England, New Orleans, Carolina, San Francisco)… So onto the free week 16 NFL picks and expert predictions.
There are a few games of note on the schedule in week 16. First off, on the 1:00 Sunday slate, we have the New Orleans Saints visiting the Carolina Panthers. There is a ton on the line in this game. If the Saints win, not only do they clinch the NFC South, they will also earn a first-round playoff bye. If the Panthers win, they lock up a playoff spot. New Orleans needs it since they are a much different team on the road than at home and could be one and done in the playoffs if they fail to win the division. Since they are a different team away… we’re picking Carolina to win outright as they are favored by 3 in the point spread.
In the later games, we have two nice one as Seattle hosts Arizona and the Patriots will visit the Ravens. Playoff scenarios galore. The Seahawks will win not only the NFC North, but home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win. Arizona is still playing for their playoff lives and loss pretty much drops the hammer on them. Seattle is favored by 10.4, by the way, so that should tip you off as to who we are picking.
As for the Pats-Ravens, our experts are picking purple, sticking with the momentum… rising for Baltimore and falling for New England. Baltimore is favored by 2.5 as of this moment.

Finally, since the Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles game was flexed to prime time, one or both of these teams may be playing under a win-and-you’re-in scenario. If the Dallas Cowboys lose to the R-Words earlier in the day, the Eagles win the NFC East with a win. If the Packer and Lions lose, then the Bears can win the NFC North with a victory. The Eagles are favored by 3 in the point spread, and our experts are picking them to win and cover.
