Prince dropped his third unannounced song of the year. Prince lit up the internet with his new guitar driven tune HARDROCKLOVER. If you have ever heard a Prince song you know this song has nothing to do with a passion for 70’s arena rock tunes.
I find it curious that Justin Timberlake felt the need to bring sexy back. The purple one has been oozing sexuality for decades. This song isn’t any different. When a guy can write a song like this it is no wonder he has bedded some of the hottest women on the planet. Price has been romantically tied to Kim Basinger, Madonna, Vanity, Sheila E., Carmen Electra, Susanna Hoffs, Anna Fantastic, Sherilyn Fenn and Susan Moonsie of Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6. Talk about a resume, I bet you could play the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon game with women Prince banged and tie them back to every celebrity in Hollywood. Madonna and Carmen Electra of course make this game so much easier.
It is easy to see why the majority of the Prince catalog is about sexuality. However, Prince songs are not only sexy groves, Prince is an amazing instrumentalist. HARDROCKLOVER gives us once again some amazing guitar work by one of the best guitarists of our generation.
So it looks like Prince is not about the record sales or the limelight he merely wants to create music. This is an artist that has a track record of releasing his work into the wild for free. That is with the exception of The Funk Bible also known as the Black Album. A copy of this disk goes for anywhere for $50 – $300 depending on the condition and medium. The Black Album was pulled from shelves after Prince had a bad Ecstasy trip and felt the album had evil/demonic hidden messages.
Despite the bad drug trips, clashes with the music industry and egotistical rants Prince continues to crank out great music. You can check out the new track HARDROCKLOVER below you can also get up to date info on new Prince releases by following the purple one on Twitter.
