Review: Opedix Dual-Tec Tights – There is No Going Back to the Grey Sweatsuit

In my earlier years, I was very active. Running, biking and roller-blading were not only my passions but a way of life for me.  The reference to roller-blading tells you this was many years ago. Recently I have become active again, lost a lot of weight and found myself enjoying an active lifestyle again. One of the things I have embraced is the technology that now supports promotes and enhances fitness regimes.

In this world of wearable tech, smartphone apps, and interactive fitness I have found that even the clothing we wear now for sport and exercise has taken to the world of high technology. Being born in the days when fitness gear was a pair of Chuck Taylors and a grey sweatsuit I was skeptical about technology driven sports clothing. After a couple of days with the Opedix Dual-Tec tights, all of my doubts are now gone.

You have probably seen Opedix Dual-Tec tights during many sporting events. If you are a fan of the NFL as I am these are the warm up gear you see many pro athletes wearing before a game. My mistake and misconception when first being introduced to this product was thinking they were the same spandex warm up suits that are sold in the big box stores. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Opedix Dual-Tec tights are a mix of nylon and spandex panels strategically designed to help your body better align in during exercise. When putting on the Opedix Dual-Tec tights the first thing I noticed is how they for a lack of a better word “move” my body into a better posture. My hips are squared off, and I am standing straighter. You can feel this effect throughout your entire lower body especially in the knees.

As you take your first steps in the Opedix Dual-Tec tights, they feel tight. Not in an uncomfortable way but you know you are wearing them. By the end of my first workout with the tights, they felt like a second skin. They are not restrictive in any way. What I did notice after the first workout was the absence of joint pain. By aligning my body and running truer my knees and hips were not subjected to being pounded in compromising positions.

Fast-forward two weeks later my workouts are getting longer and more frequent. I am still not suffering the joint pain I once did even the day after an intense workout. What I like about the Opedix Dual-Tec tights is they breath nicely and wick the moisture from my body. After a workout, my tee shirt is a clammy, wet, uncomfortable mess. I can not wait to get it off. The Opedix Dual-Tec tights, on the other hand, are still comfortable. As I said previously, they quickly become a second skin.

I am not going to delve into the science behind these tights, you can hear about that in the video below. Opedix has a patent on their Torque Reform Technology you can read more about on Opedix.com, the Opedix Facebook page, Opedix Twitter or check out the scores of happy and healthy Opedix customers on their Instagram page. What I can tell you, there is no going back to the Chuck Taylors and a grey sweatsuit now.
