The Low Down
I’ve always hated crowded clubs. Even in my early twenties in regular nightclubs, I hated the feeling of being herded in like cattle… where it takes forever to get a drink at the bar and you can barely hear yourself think. While I may be exaggerating a bit when comparing these experiences to my recent visit to Manchester, but a crowded club does tell me one very important thing: that it’s POPULAR. This is more than I can say for several of the other clubs that I visited in Manchester for Sexhibition, whose crowds were tame by comparison. I arrived at the club at around 11:30pm on a Saturday evening for my review; as with all of my gentlemen’s club reviews, I rated the club on a scale of one to five stars, with five being the best possible score. Oh, and as this is an “international version” of my gentlemen’s club reviews, I’m using the British Pound symbol “£” for all prices, so be sure to check currency conversion rates before you go.
Location & Facilities – 4 Stars
Located right in the heart of Manchester in the city’s Chinatown section, Long Legs is a two-story club that features a stage with one pole on the first floor and a smaller VIP area on the second floor. The club’s trendy, modern interior is highlighted by numerous couches for dances with your favorite entertainers, and the DJ mostly plays electronic and dance music.
Staff – 4.5 Stars
While I didn’t interact directly with the staff (as it wasn’t exactly the “casual conversation” atmosphere), I did find the staff to be courteous and professional, even during their busy evening.
Food & Drink – 4 Stars
While the club doesn’t serve food, I did find it to have a good variety of domestic and imported drinks as well as a fully stocked bar. If you choose to indulge yourself, bottle service is available, with a bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII going for £2,000.
Dancers – 5 Stars
The one true highlight of Long Legs, and what most certainly draws in the crowds, is their variety of gorgeous, multi-ethnic dancers. I was lucky enough to enjoy a private dance from Claire, a stunning dancer from Devon who gave me what had to be the best dance in all of Manchester!
Value – 5 Stars
Long Legs provides plenty of value for your dollar… er, pound, with only a £10 cover and variable dance prices to suit anyone’s budget. Don’t forget to check out their upstairs VIP section for £70 per 15 minutes if you wish to splurge on a more upscale experience.
Website & Social Media – 2 Stars
Despite the modern, trendy interior of the Long Legs club itself, the Long Legs website leaves much to be desired. While the site does provide plenty of information, it lacks any real “draw” for potential customers, such as drink specials or party package information. Also, while the site does have plenty of pictures of the interior and its dancers, the dancers faces are blurred out, which is rather tacky as a good photographer can easily take tasteful photos that conceal a dancer’s identity. Finally, there are no links to social media provided, so if you want to find out what’s going on at the club it’s best just to call or email.
In Brief…
Despite not having a great website and no social media, Long Legs certainly draws in the crowd with their beautiful dancers, quality club interior and reasonable prices.
