Cosplay Spotlight: Cara Nicole aka AZ Powergirl

What if I introduced you to a girl who is a writer, editor, comic book colourist, cosplayer and one-time political candidate. If it sounds like something that I made up then meet Cara Nicole.

Originally suiting up for charity events Cara Nicole began appearing in costume at conventions and other events, although she does admit that at first, she didn’t even know that what she was doing was known as cosplay.

While originally becoming known for her portrayal of Powergirl, Cara Nicole branched out and portrayed other characters such as Pyslocke, Electra, Black Cat and a variety of other well-known Marvel characters.

Outside of her cosplay work Cara Nicole also writes, edits and does colour work for 183 Degree Studios, which she helped co-found.

Cara Nicole also ran for a seat in House of Representatives in the recent US election. But don’t go thinking that it was all some publicity stunt, as some known people treat running for positions of office, but a genuine attempt to seek an elected position. This was evidenced by her responses to questions about important issues.

When not occupied with these other things Cara Nicole maintains a busy convention appearance schedule, the details of where and what events is all listed on her social media and official website.

You can follow Cara Nicole (AZ Powergirl) on Facebook and Twitter, or follow her latest  appearances and announcements through her  Official Website.

You can also purchase prints from her Storenvy.
