Ouch. Things went a little awry in week four with a few underdogs disrupting what were assumed safe picks. The House did it again, posting a sub-500 record once again this season, with only 6 correct picks. The Membership emerged victorious, for the third time in as many weeks, with 7.5 wins. The Madden 09 Xbox 360 simulation kicked some ass in week 4, posting 10 out of 13 wins, and taking it’s first-ever season total lead. The House falls even further back, digging as deep a hole as we’ve ever seen in the Beat the House competition this early in the season. Stay tuned to see what happens next. The results to-date are:

Todd Rundgren’s résumé documents 40 years of a musician who has been there, done that, and has all the t-shirts. On his own, he has recorded 20 albums (depending on how you count). In the mid 70’s, he formed the progressive group Utopia, which produced another 12 albums. In 2005, Todd joined The New Cars, a super group featuring the music of the original The Cars as well as Todd’s solo music in the set list. As a music producer, he has worked with The Tubes, Bad Religion, Cheap Trick, New York Dolls, XTC, and one of the top ten selling albums of all time, Meatloaf’s “Bat Out of Hell.”
The TMRzoo “Beat the House” Week 4 picks and predictions are live. In week 3, The House was beaten for the second time in as many weeks. The members bested the mighty house by a whopping 3 picks… 12 to 9. The Madden 09 simulation on the Xbox 360 ties the members with 12 correct picks. Get your week 4 picks in now and try your best to Beat the House and move up the
Hip hop used to be feeling, not form—A boom-bap rush that could, and would, be interpreted and articulated differently by it’s various creators. It was this loose constitution, open to infinite amendments that bred the broad crop of creative, innovative rap in late ‘80s and early ‘90s. However, things changed. When the financial stakes is high, that which makes dollars makes sense, and consequently a more polished and rigid vision of hip hop emerged in the mid-‘90s, and it catapulted the genre to new heights.
