Fallââ¬â¢s Coming Up & The NFL Is Heating Up!; Week 3 Tops Off With Romo Vs. Rodgers, Favre Vs. Rivers.
Great way to start. Great way to come back.
That can easily summarize developments in the NFL so far that have already packed a seasonââ¬â¢s worth of surprise and suspense into the leagueââ¬â¢s firstââ¬Â¦two weeks.
As autumn looms next Monday, who can imagine whatââ¬â¢s in store?
Look at things so far. Three of the 2-0 teams (Buffalo, Carolina and Denver) won only seven games apiece last year. So things are looking up for them.
But, hold on. Just look at last year. The Giants started 0-2 and won the Super Bowl. The Chargers began 1-3 and reached the AFC Championship Game. Itââ¬â¢s two weeks down ââ¬â and a long way to go!
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s a great way to start the season,ââ¬Â says wide receiver LARRY FITZGERALD of the 2-0 Arizona Cardinals. ââ¬ÅBut it would be a lot better to be 3-0. Thatââ¬â¢s where my mind-frame is.ââ¬Â
If there have been great starts to the season, there have also been great comebacks. Just look at Week 2.
Three teams ââ¬â Carolina, Indianapolis and San Francisco -- overcame deficits of at least 14 points to win ââ¬â the first time that many teams have done so since Week 13 of 2006. ââ¬ÅYou have to continue to fight and continue to battle,ââ¬Â says Indianapolis head coach TONY DUNGY. ââ¬ÅThatââ¬â¢s the way a lot of NFL games are.ââ¬Â
