It's really bad outside. The wind is gusting up to 50mph and the snow keeps coming down, I can't seen across the street.

I already have a huge drift in front of my car, it's like 15 feet long and almost up to my waist.

Just rain here still.

I have been working away in my home office for the past hour and a half I turned around and there is a white out outside my window.

I've never seen a storm like this one, It was snowing horizontally all night and the wind kept up around 50mph. I was outside every hour shoveling out around the furnace intake and exhaust. Normally it wouldn't be an issue because it's up high enough off the ground but the drifting is insane. No sleep, I'm a bigger asshole then usual.

They've declared a state of Civil Emergency for the lower third of the state. Basically saying don't leave your house, the roads are impassable and if you're stuck in your car you're on your own. Snowplows are stuck on the roads, Police cars are stuck, the freeways are closed it's choas.

I haven't even attempted to dig out. If the storm door on my back door was installed correctly and opened out, I wouldn't be able to get out. I had to keep crawling over the monster drift against the thing. The drifts outside are insane. The shit is over my head in places and up to my waist at most points. I'm going to snap some pictures later. I haven't heard any plows come down the street yet or anyone even starting to dig out.

I hope this shit weakens before it hits you guys.
