EASTON, Pa. ââ¬â A man accused of driving drunk said Pennsylvania courts have no jurisdiction over him because he's his own country. After seeing the paperwork that 44-year-old Scott Allan Witmer filed with the court claiming sovereignty, a Northampton County judge said Tuesday he cannot be released from jail until he gets a mental exam.
Witmer, who represented himself, said he believes police lack jurisdiction to pull him over. As he said in court: "I live inside myself, not in Pennsylvania." He said there is no victim in the crime and asked to go to trial.
Defense attorney James Connell, Witmer's standby counsel, said a challenge to the traffic stop would need to be filed as a pretrial motion.
When he goes to jail his country will get invaded

Son Pleasures himself then Punches Mom
DADE CITY -- It all started about 7 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said, when a mother looked outside and saw her 19-year-old son masturbating in the back yard.
The mother yelled. The son, Antwan L. Grandberry, 19, walked around to the front of the house on 13th Street in Dade City and rang the doorbell, according to a Dade City Police report. The mother answered and began cursing and yelling at Grandberry, who then punched his mother in her face, the report said.
Grandberry, who is listed as unemployed, was arrested on a domestic battery charge and is being held in the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $500 bail.

San Jose, California -- Rita Brum, a 24-year-old physical education teacher at Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose, Calif. was arrested after a girl's mother discovered Brum was having a lesbian relationship with her daughter.
According to investigators, the San Jose Police Department was notified Jan 18th of a child molestation incident involving Brum and a 17-year-old student. The inappropriate relationship was discovered by the student's mother, who allegedly found a love letter from Brum to her daughter.
Brum was arrested Feb. 26 and indicted Thursday on charges of having a sexual relationship with a minor.
Investigators say the teacher and student met early in the school year. As the relationship grew, the two began spending time together on and off campus. The relationship allegedly turned intimate in December, when Brum invited the teen over to her house to watch a hockey game.
During the encounter, the two engaged in a "long passionate kiss" that left the teen "freaked out", according to the student. After a few additional kisses on and off campus, the relationship evolved into a sexual one, according to police.
The relationship reportedly ended when the girl's mother discovered the letter.
After confronting her daughter, the teen's mother found Brum and confronted her in a hair pulling brawl that drew the attention of police.
Brum was interviewed, jailed and then released on a $15,000 bond. Brum was also terminated from her job at the school after school members voted to fire her.

If he had punched her in the back of the head, would it count as a donkey punch?

Shouldn't he be in regular jail. I think holding this kid in a tub of butter is just going to get him in more trouble.
McALESTER, Okla. ââ¬â A 23-year-old inmate beaten to death at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary had been put in a cell with convicted killer he had testified against.
Prison spokesman Jerry Massie says Paul Duran Jr. fought with one cellmate and then was put in a cell with Jessie James Dalton.
Duran was found beaten to death about 15 minutes later.
Massie says the two were not supposed to be put in the same cell and prison officials are trying to determine how it happened.
Duran and Dalton were co-defendants in the January 2002 shooting death of Billy Wayne Ray in Oklahoma City.
Duran pleaded guilty to a robbery charge and testified against Dalton who was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without parole.
Massie says investigators will present their findings to a district attorney who will decide if criminal charges will be filed.
