I love Beer Lao from Laos. It's a cheap one but so crisp and refreshing. I love to have it with any Asian food. I also love Coopers from Australia - great with Turkish pide. Tonight I'm having a Peroni from Italy with an eggplant casserole dinner - not bad at all.

What's your favourite? :)
A nice IIPA with spicey BBQ or a great Imperial Stout with a nice cigar
Oaked Arrogant Bastard with a Bratwurst and Egg sammich... preferably before 9am.

That pairing is only good if you are in a parking lot surrounded by 5 gallon buckets of urine

that's ridiculous. By 9am the buckets are only half full. Way to exaggerate!

Personally, I don't care much for beer with food, I tend to only drink alcohol by itself.

I will drink High Life with cheap pizza or a burger, but that is more to wash my mouth out, not to enjoy the "beer".
Well this thread needs to be resuscitated.

Aecht Schlenkerla Rauschbier Marzen and grilled red meat (preferably a bit spicy).

It's a german style smoked beer. It's pretty thick, very smooth tasting, and INSANELY smokey. One of my favourite beers ever.

oh and Grilled seafood, or any seafood really, with a good German wheat beer. I'm pretty partial to Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier and Schneider Weisse.

Sweet lord, what an awesome combination.

.............I think I like German beers.
Aecht Schlenkerla Rauschbier Marzen is awesome in chili and BBQ sauce the smoke really gives the flavor a boost.
I like stout beers, but I am no conno-sewer. I did have a tasty micro called Black Butte when I was out on the left coast, but haven't found it here. It will probably get me an infraction, but I'll tell you anyway - it is slightly chocolate flavored.
nothing wrong with chocolate stout yo.

I've had black butte before, it is really good.
