This is a sneak peak into a project i will be doing. Inspiration has ome from that jap dude at the esp custom shop.

I have the lathe and i will be turning up the wood to look like bamboo. They will extrude from the body. Body/rock and the skull will be carved out too.

I think i can do it, All the attachments will be glued on including the skull. That way i can have many goes at it before i settle on the one that works.

I jsut found a truss rod that will work for the 27 fret length. Apparently only wd music have a 20'' truss rod so i will be getting one of those.

Its going to be a big job but its completely achievable.

I will be constructing mine in a similar way to how this dude done the ghost soldier. I will be combining my finish fabric style, carving, staining and possible painting. So it will be like a mixed media art piece. Also thinking i will add lots of little things like worms and bugs on it.

I'm going to ask a dumb question - Why not use Bamboo? Seems like it would be relatively easy to get anywhere. When its liquored up, would seem to be durable.
