Just wanted to rant somewhere about how shitty Hughes & Kettner support is and how little information they provide in their operating manuals. Called Yorkville Sound which is the USA service provider and they bounced me to tech support that said talk to this other person and I got a voice mailbox. Of course the call was never returned just like the last time I tried to get help and it took me 6 months which resulted in send us the amp and we might be able to fix it. Shipping an amp cost on me of course. If you are faint at heart I would NOT BUY ANYTHING from this company unless you are able to work on and repair anything that might go wrong. The whole issue is that the $200 switch does not work in stompbox mode which should change the channels and turn the reverb on and off. I did not buy it to spend days and hours setting it up to run by Midi. Feel free to insult me now or get into the line to kiss my ass.
When did they start using Duncan's tech support lines?
Never had or played through a HK amp - but I do have 2 Replex units. They work fine, but the problem is they definitely aren't set up to be easy to work on. Changing that tube is a bitch - getting it apart is a bitch too.
They put tape around the edges of the back of the amp , a warranty seal. In the manual it states that the TSC tube control makes it easy to replace tubes without the need for biasing. Replacing tubes in one of their amps voids the warranty.

I had the same issue with my TM-18. I wanted to swap the tubes one day, but couldn't get in! It's the fucking TUBEmeister for chrissakes!!!!
No kidding?
It took me literaly 30 seconds to figure out how to replace the tubes in my tubemeister

Well I am known for being an idiot.
It's easy. Take the bolts off on the side panels (where the handles are), take said panels off, top will also come off. Boom tube access
