I run avast always. I run spyware blaster as well.
I scanned with Super Antispyware and MWB Antimalware. The latter has been finding nothing.
What else can I do to clean this? The network card has been dropping the wifi for several months (see previous thread). Is that why?
Are you connected using an actual network cable, or are you going wireless?

A wired connection is so 1990s... Yet if you had a cable, its certainly worth a shot.

So far the hardware tests have all "passed".
I use this system almost exclusively for paying bills and reading news articles on major sites. The latter is 3-4x/month.
Then again, maybe this is related to my issues with PennyMac....
