Damn it! I gave myself just a hair too much play in rear panel. I'll have to make sure I get a little tighter on the baffle.

It's maybe a weird idea, but may an opportunity to tolex the rear panel?
I actually have some laying around here somewhere if you want me to send it to you ?

I appreciate the offer, but I have something that will work.
I have my baffle cut, but l just couldn't seem to get along to well with my jigsaw this morning. They aren't exactly perfect, but it's close enough to not matter.

What would you guys think of black burlap material for the grill cloth? I have a full yard of that material. Might be able to pull that off.
What do you think of this?
Imagine the whole baffle stained and finished in that smoke stain I have. The burlap cloth would be stretched and all even. Now, imagine a frame of nice wood all around eddge of the whole baffle, and a strip across where the grill cloths ends towards the top. It would separate the wood from the material.
In the stained wood rectangle that would be at the top of the baffle, I was thinking of having a custom made nameplate that says something like Swamp Ass, or Nutt Butter, or something stupid like that. Get it in the white lettering like the marshall logo.
Let your imagination flow.

How about a tease? You can see just enough.
Mad props to Oinkus, for staying on me about those dowels to fill the screw holes. It made a big difference in how I finish this cabinet out. Probably would have half ass'd it the rest of the way if it hadn't taken so long to do this.
It was a good 30 minutes alone just cutting the oak dowel into 40, 3/8" pieces, with just a single hacksaw blade. Then I had to glue, tap in, and grind down the leftover dowel.
I was cussing Oinkus, the whole time! It was well worth it though.
