If you want a real Chocolate Stout the only choice is Young's Luxury Chocolate Stout. Black Butte is on the bitter side and the malts are muted.

Nah, that Young's shit has the worst frequency response of anything in its price range. Only sissy girls drink sweet chocolate beer.

Young's is way overrated. It's pretty much the most mainstream chocolate stout around, most likely because of distribution deals rather than sheer quality. It is more bitter than it should be, has a cloying chemically aftertaste and tastes like burnt cocoa. fuck that.

I much prefer Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate stout. It's a chocolatey russian imperial stout and by god, it's like a goddamn freight train drove full speed into your ballsack.

Fresh killed elk steak with BBQ beans, and a couple Killians Red is about as good as it gets in my world.

I got online and looked into that Brooklyn Chocolate stout... only place I can get it in AZ is from an online retailer lol!
Our Bevmo doesn't carry it.... nothing this side of Texas does...

And so a 12 pack would cost me like 56 bucks to get it delivered!

My first craft beer ever was a Sam Smith's Pale Ale still one of my favorites.
