Agalloch already made it onto my playlist! I had heard of Moonsorrow but I actually didn't know they fit into this category. I'll have give 'em a listen. Agalloch already made it onto my playlist! moonsorrow is definitely more metal than acoustic, but they do the folk thing with a lot more conviction and artistry than a lot of the other sickeningly happy sounding folk metal bands like eluveite, ensiferum, alestorm etc. Also check out primordial though. They're from ireland so they use a lot of celtic folk influences. Sometimes more metal sometimes not. Sorta more atmospheric than riffy. Great band.
