I've never even tried a Vlasic. Fast food pickles are not pickles. I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood in the olden days. You could by a kosher dill pickle at the deli for a quarter that was the size of a medium cucumber. Freaking delicious. RE: Pickles - Speng - 03-05-2015 I go through a ton of pickles, especially in the Summer. There's nothing like a chilled pickle on a hot day. I'm not a real fan of sweet pickles/gerkins. I always have a jar of these in the fridge:
RE: Pickles - Speng - 03-05-2015 Awhile back I put some hardboiled eggs into a jar of dill pickle brine, I just finished the pickles and it seemed like a good idea. Biting into an egg that tastes like a dill pickle was weird. I'll stick to the traditional method of making pickled eggs from now on.
