The Fins definitely put on a show! I can't say the same for my Giants against the Bengals. Hopefully they pick it up in the second half here. RE: Football is back! - LesStrat - 08-14-2015 ![]() It is PRESEASON, guys. PRACTICE GAMES. They don't matter, except for an opportunity for the coach to try out a few things and vet some players. They're SCRIMMAGES. Winning a practice game is meaningless. RE: Football is back! - Snake Aces - 08-14-2015 I can't help it. I get excited for the upcoming season. RE: Football is back! - LesStrat - 08-15-2015 I'm stuck hearing the locals get all worked up because the (S)Aints lost in the final seconds. I don't waste my breath remind them it's PRACTICE. Even worse, those clowns have a history with preseason. If they blow out the other teams in preseason, they go 0-16 or slightly better. They seem to do better when they LOSE in preseason. Then again, I don't get excited with post season either. RE: Football is back! - idsnowdog - 08-15-2015 Michael Sam walked away again from his stint at Montreal. He managed to play one game before he bowed out due to mental health issues. I don't think he's tough enough to play football at a professional level. He does not have what it takes obviously. RE: Football is back! - Hooch - 08-17-2015 Just as the players have to ease back into their groove, we did the same with tailgating yesterday at Eagles-Colts. No cooking, brought a few pizzas, some wings and of course a cooler full of beer. No need for a pre-season injury. $40 just to park now, mother fuckers. On another note, the Philly crowd was overwhelmingly supportive of Tebow... some pretty big cheers when he was announced to come in. |
