I'll be reading up on all this shit and figuring it out. I'd rather have more than less as long as it doesn't become a hindrance. All things considered, I feel like I got a good price and I'm looking at it as an investment. RE: Well, I sorta bought a home studio. - Agileguy - 12-07-2015 You got a great price. It's definitely an investment, and a worthwhile one imo. A DAW [ Digital Audio Workstation ] is the sum of the parts; Interface, PC and software. He has the first two. I think I'm confused by the way you are refering to things. :old: RE: Well, I sorta bought a home studio. - karpathion - 12-08-2015 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_audio_workstation It just depends on where you are. Around here, we all refer to our software as the DAW. A lot of people do. You can those for super cheap these days, and still sound great. You wouldn't even need an interface with those. I used an 1880 for years, until I gave it to my uncle. He still uses it every day. I still use my VS-1880. It's what I've been doing all of my recording on here lately. I actually saw a 1680 the other day for $160. I thought about buying it and linking it to my 1880. |
