The Weather Thread - Gator - 12-09-2009 We had a friggin monsoon this morning. My pants were soaked just walking from the parking lot to the door of my building from all the wind and rain. The Weather Thread - Speng - 12-09-2009 Dodged a bullet last night. There was a small area near the lake that was warm enough for most of the precipitation to fall as slush/rain. I spent 15 minutes pushing that crap around and was done. A few miles from here they were buried with a foot of snow...and it's still coming down. It's all supposed to ice over tonight, that'll be fun. The Weather Thread - Securb - 12-09-2009 I started up the Snowblower just to find out I had a snapped shearing pin and cant find the backups because we moved. I said "fuck it" and put in a cheap Chinese bolt that came with some piece of shit something I bought and it snapped just as I was finishing the last 6 inches of driveway. The Weather Thread - Speng - 12-09-2009 At least it waited until you were almost done. It's all ice outside, I almost fell on my ass. The Weather Thread - Speng - 12-10-2009 Fuck, it's 3 outside with a windchill of -18. The Weather Thread - Securb - 12-10-2009 Nice that is when you can spit in the air and it freezes before it hits the gropund The Weather Thread - Speng - 12-10-2009 If took a deep breath and my nostrils stuck. The guy that lives across the street is getting new windows installed today. It probably seemed like a good idea a few months ago when it was in the sixties. |
