2009 NFL Offseason - Hooch - 01-20-2009

If Philly fans did this, ESPN would create another channel dedicated to covering it 24/7, with hourly specials on the Santa snowball incident from half a century ago, but since it was done by bandwagon Arizona fans (bandwagon because the Cardinals didn't even have a fanbase until a week ago) it only gets a blurb in one article as a sidenote:

Quote:What was going through the mind of the misguided juveniles who used gasoline to desecrate the front lawn of the house in Chandler, Ariz., where McNabb and his wife, Roxie, live with their children over the offseason. According to a friend of Mrs. McNabb’s, “Go Cards” and other similar messages were burned into the front lawn one night last week. This had to be especially scary to the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Alexis, who was staying in the house with Roxie and the couple’s six-week-old twins. Apparently one of the culprits was identified after leaving a box at the scene with a mailing label affixed bearing his name and address, so we’re obviously not talking about criminal masterminds here. But it’s tough to imagine that anyone over the age of eight doesn’t understand that burning something on the lawn of a house occupied by African-Americans carries deeper social overtones that are highly disturbing. I’m told Donovan took a photo of the damaged lawn and used it as a motivating force for Sunday’s game. I hope it’s the last time he or any other professional athlete ever has that opportunity.

Speaking of Favre, (ok, we weren't) Aaron Rodgers mentioned in a radio interview that he considered Favre a pretty good friend. They were somewhat close the three years they spent practicing and shit, he hasn't heard from princess since the NFC game last year. Rodgers apparently tried contacting him and Favre just blew him off..what a dick.

You wouldn't be saying that if you were at the game in person with one of those high end Tampa call girls and a piss warm 8 dollar beer.

How about a high end beer and a piss warm 8 dollar Tampa call girl?

That half time show was total shit, Springsteen sucks wild herds of nomadic goats. Who likes the guy besides baby boomers trying to hold onto their youth?

Hey, I resemble that remark (I mean the babyboomers trying to hold on to their youth, not the part about sucking wild herds of nomadic goats).

And I thought the halftime show was pretty good.
