I'm glad I prepped enough wood this summer.

We ended up with just over a foot. Supposed to get about an inch a day for the next few days, then a huge blizzard on Wed. Remind me again why I left Florida????

The Weather Thread - Speng - 01-31-2011

We're supposed to get the biggest blizzard in over a decade in the next few days. They say we'll be measuring the snowfall in feet instead of inches. This should suck.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A monster winter storm took aim at a third of the nation Monday, threatening to lay a potentially deadly path of heavy snow and ice from the Rockies to New England, followed by a wave of bitter, bone-rattling cold that could affect tens of millions of people.

Cities including St. Louis, Kansas City and Milwaukee could be hardest hit, with expected midweek snowfalls of up to 2 feet and drifts piled 5 to 10 feet.

Pretty much everything is closing early today and will be closed through Thursday. Usually when they freak out like this the storm isn't as bad as predicted.

The Weather Thread - 3daddict - 02-01-2011

We have 2-4" for today but another 14-18" scheduled for tomorrow. Wish I wasn't heading into work...

The Weather Thread - Securb - 02-01-2011

We are getting 12 today and 12 tomorrow. I am at work today but I think tomorrow is a wash.

The Weather Thread - Gator - 02-01-2011

We were supposed to get 1-3 today followed by some major ice, but it never really materialized. Then tonight we're supposed to get a lot of rain that's supposed to turn into an ice storm some time in the middle of the night, but now it's looking like it may pull further north and miss most of our area. Phew. With a rear-wheel drive SUV, ice is something I don't need to deal with.
