Steps in creating an image - johnjohn - 12-16-2017

Was playing around with textures in my drawing/cartooning the other day and saved it step by step.

First I created a bunch of geometric shapes:

Then I drew a bunch of lines to see what I could make:

I then started with some light colours:

Next some deeper colour and textures:

Some dark and light undertoning:

And finally a bit of clean up and a background:

On a more serious note (but I DO like Bugs Bunny!), I don't have the vision for planning out artistic work. I admire those who do.

Funny you should post this.

My wife asked me if I could draw Tweety last night, (always hated that character, but it’s her favourite) so I did, and added a caption.
She read the caption and said ‘Oh, someone has jokes.’ so I touched up Tweety with a pair of boobs and a bikini top.
I was gonna add a brass pole and a g string with some bills, but I figured I had pushed my luck far enough.
