John Walsh, host of the series, will mark the milestone with a special episode of AMERICA’S MOST WANTED Saturday, May 17 (9:00-10:00 ET/PT) on FOX. The show will originate from Times Square in New York City and will highlight some of the greatest captures in AMW history. And, of course, the show will include information about current fugitives viewers can help law enforcement track down. Capture 1,000 came after AMW received a tip that Dwight Smith, an accused killer from New York, was hiding out in Richmond, VA. The U.S. Marshals Service and the NYPD jumped on the tip, and Smith was arrested without incident just hours after AMW broadcast his profile on April 19.
