According to Michael Ausiello at TV Guide, Season 7 will premiere in September 2nd, 2008[5], and will consist of 13 one hour episodes. This will be the final season according to its creator and the network.[6] This has also been confirmed by a commercial on FX.

Has anyone seen The Sheild promo with Lem and Mackie. I guess they are going to bring back Lem in flashbacks or I would imagine he will be haunting Shane as he slips into insanity.

The Shield starts this week thank god. Seeing it is the last season I get the feeling we will see about a death a week. Shane goes about week 4 or 5, Mackie bites it in the finale. Dutch gets nailed for some kind of freakshow sex crime/murder.

I can see Shane getting it, and I can even see Dutch getting nailed, I'm thinking maybe some kiddie porn thing, but I don't know if Vic is going to get killed.

I am so pumped for The Shield. I want to see how this new truce with Acevada and Vic works out. Shane is in a shit spot, but he's also keeping things off of Vic's back with the money train.
I was looking at some of the stuff FX has posted and they're going to go back to the storyline with Billings and his "disabilities". Looks like Dutch is after him. What a putz character.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Vic and Shane both survive or be killed.

One of my coworkers thinks that we will find out that Shane is smarter than he looks and rises to power as Captian at the end of the season.
